#YouthinTech is an initiative that promotes enthusiastic young people who have an idea or an innovative project.
How did you come out with this idea?
Looking at the students finishing 9 years of education and high school, I noticed that they had a very big problem; how they would continue their life in relation to education. So what would they study? Which one suited their better? At this moment, I came up with the idea of the “PathWay” app that would facilitate this important choice in their lives.
How does this app work and why exactly this name?
The user enters the application, sets their strengths and their favorite subjects, and the application through an algorithm shows them the most suitable faculties for them. The name means “distant route” because the most important routes are high school and university, the two educations with the greatest weight in the formation of an individual.
How will you carry this idea forward, what is your wish?
I’m trying to take it forward by pitching it at internships, startup pitches and other tech events to get some support. My biggest wish is that one day this idea will come to life and help all students who have this problem during their decision making for the future.
What do you want to be in the future, where do you see yourself?
In the future I see myself with a degree in computer science and a job as a front-end developer in an IT company and in the more distant future executive director.
