The Digital Rights Governance Framework is a pilot project of Cities Coalition for Digital Rights, UN_Habitat, Eurocities, United Cities and Local Governments – UCLG along with the support of Open Society Foundation which aims to address the growing concerns and challenges related to the widespread use of technology in society and support human rights in the digital context.

Tirana was selected from an open call and as the “European Youth Capital” for 2022, with an ambitious program to address the needs of its young people, raising awareness of digital rights represents one of the capital’s most vocal challenges. Within this mission, the project developed with the Coalition of Cities for Digital Rights aims to provide training for civil servants to increase their awareness and capacities on how to work with Digital rights as well as to assist in the drafting of an agenda for digital rights.
